I was elected to “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges” in both undergraduate and graduate schools.
As a student intern in Chiropractic College, the clinic staff asked me to participate in the Clinic Intern Case Presentation Seminar. This honor is given to only two senior interns per quarter that have demonstrated excellence in clinical practice.
I also had the privilege of participating in a preceptor program at The Institute of Advanced Care in Chiropractic. This is a separate clinical entity within the student clinic which offered advanced training in upper cervical chiropractic techniques.
I created truHealth Specific Chiropractic Studio to provide an alternative healthcare choice that is consistent with how nature works and how nature heals!
I've had a love of science and nature for as long as I can remember. For most people, science seems like a bunch of numbers and formulas that nerds talk about for fun. But thankfully, I realized early on that science is just the process we use to understand how nature works!
Math, biology, physics, and chemistry--simply knowledge scientists have collected through many years of observing the natural world around them.
As complicated as it seemed, I realized that learning this knowledge was an opportunity for me to connect with nature on a truly fundamental level which could potentially enhance my inner truth and understanding of life itself.
I've gone against the grain my whole life as well, thinking critically about conventional ways of doing things and challenging mainstream beliefs and concepts that seemed illogical to me based on the knowledge I had gained throughout my studies.
One day during my first quarter of Chiropractic College, I learned of a branch of chiropractic called “upper cervical” or “specific” chiropractic. I learned that these chiropractors could potentially affect the health of the entire body by simply correcting the alignment and biomechanics of the atlas vertebra. However, this part of the spine is so special in how it works that it takes extra care to first figure out what's wrong with it and second how to fix it.
Out of all the chiropractic techniques I learned about in college, upper cervical by far made the most sense to me because it focused on the most critical part of the spine; if there's a problem with this part, attempts to fix other parts will simply not work. In fact, a properly functioning upper cervical spine is the keystone to your overall health.
Following graduation, I spent 18 months as a post-doctorate research associate working on various research projects for my chiropractic college in the bay area. Aside from my work in the upper cervical research field, my love for people drives me to practice upper cervical chiropractic directly.
I've returned to our beautiful San Luis Obispo to offer upper cervical chiropractic to the people of this county.
If you suffer from chronic pain or illness, or if you just want to get the most out of your body, there’s hope! I would love the opportunity to guide you along your true path to health.
Good health is our most precious commodity; we must guard it well!
